{"id":1605,"date":"2025-09-15T15:47:56","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T15:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/acc-cca.ca\/?page_id=1605"},"modified":"2026-06-23T17:14:39","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T17:14:39","slug":"cca-2027","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/acc-cca.ca\/index.php\/conference\/cca-2027\/","title":{"rendered":"CCA 2027 \/ ACC 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>June 23, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the success of our 2026 conference at the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, the Canadian Communication Association (CCA) seeks expressions of interest from a department at a Canadian university to host CCA\u2019s annual conference in spring 2027 (either the week of May 17-21 or May 31-June 2).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Liam Cole Young, CCA\u2019s Vice-President and Conference Chair, is responsible for the programming and overall planning of the conference. We seek a Local Arrangement Coordinator\/Local Organizing Committee to organize logistics and to serve as local hosts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested departments\/committees should <strong>email the CCA Board at <a href=\"mailto:acc.cca.ca@gmail.com\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">acc.cca.ca@gmail.com<\/mark><\/a> by July 31 with a short (2-3 page) expression of interest<\/strong> that includes:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Name of the department, university, and individuals who will be involved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Venue information, including costs for renting space, AV, site insurance, tech support, and any other institutional fees. We typically require 6 or 7 classrooms for concurrent panel sessions, which seat about 30-40 people, in close proximity; area for welcome desk\/catering (near panel session rooms);  a lecture hall for CCA\u2019s Annual General Meeting (~100-150 people); a venue for a keynote lecture (~125-175); a venue for a catered reception with a cash bar; basic AV for each classroom, microphones for keynote, reception; catering services or ability to bring in food from off-campus providers; basic accessibility of space (e.g., elevators or ground floor rooms, accessible washrooms)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information on accommodations\/ability to book hotel blocks at reasonable rates (for a range of budgets) and potential access to on-campus residences&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information on transportation to\/from hotels\/accommodations to campus&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ideas for incorporating graduate students into conference organization\/planning and participation).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other comments on how the location is well-suited for hosting a conference (local amenities, places to eat, specific aspects that can be incorporated into conference programming)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to hearing from you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>le 23 juin 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fort du succ\u00e8s de notre colloque de 2026 \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Windsor (Ontario), l\u2019Association canadienne de communication (ACC) sollicite des manifestations d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de la part d\u2019un d\u00e9partement universitaire canadien pour accueillir son colloque annuel au printemps 2027 (soit la semaine du 17 mai, soit du 31 mai au 2 juin).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Liam Cole Young, vice-pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019ACC et pr\u00e9sident de la conf\u00e9rence, est responsable de la programmation et de la planification g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement.
